「ジョークだから」でピンときたのですが、モンティ・パイソン
(Monty Python - イギリスのコメディグループ）のネタの一つに、
"The fish-slapping dance" っていうのがあります。

結構有名で、人気のあるネタなので、英語苦手さんの上司の方は
それに絡ませたかったのかなと、ふと思いました。
